The G/ L Accounting Manager assists the Controller with ensuring the accurate representation of financial transactions within the financial accounting system and the efficient operation of the Accounting Department. Provides oversight and effective coaching to the general ledger accounting team. Maintains ownership over financial reporting for designated Hospital ventures (joint ventures, retail ventures, and others assigned by the Controller). Assists management on various projects. Maintains accounting and statistical records including Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts, as well as the associated analysis and financial reporting. Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Recommends process improvement to general accounting activities ensuring the most efficient and effective operations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. CPA preferred.
