Tree Felling is a job that involves cutting down trees in a safe and efficient manner, often as a part of forestry operations. They are highly skilled chainsaw operators who must be practical, physically fit and safety conscious.

Key Responsibilities:

* Uses chainsaws to fell trees assessing tree conditions prior to cutting.

* Accesses the tree condition like height, lean and identifying hazards.

* Clear the area by removing saplings, debris and brushes from the work area and escape routes.

* Maintains, sharpens and repairs chainsaws and other equipment, cleaning, oiling and greasing equipment.

* Determines position, direction and depth of cuts to be made and proper placement of wedges or jacks.

* Trim off the tops and limbs of fallen trees.

Requirements

* Demonstrate good work practices through compliance support of all site safety, health and environmental guidelines.

* 5 years of experience in forestry industry.

* Proficient in felling trees with chainsaw.

* Proficient in rigging out tree removals.

* Exceptional observation skills.

* Effective communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Ability to work in harsh weather conditions.

* Possessing a current CDL Class A license is preferred.

* Candidate must possess OSHA 10 certification or be willing to obtain it.

* Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.

* Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment.
