Role Summary:
The LCA Execution team is comprised of On-Site Applications Engineers (AEs) who provide reliability and maintenance solutions for rotating equipment at our customer facilities. The LCA Engineering Supervisor leads, manages and coaches AEs in problem solving, root cause analysis and process improvement while enabling cross-functional collaboration to ensure positive customer experience and achieve organizational objectives. The primary work location for this role is the Baton Rouge, LA.
Responsibilities:
Leadership/Communication
Build AEs skill in defining customer requirements for Order Entry, Repair Work Scopes, Reports, and other correspondence
Exhibits effective product knowledge, training, and presentation skills
Drives a customer-centric, collaborative culture
Performance manages AEs including coaching & development
Has working knowledge of people management legal requirements
Engineering Tools/Techniques
Builds AEs capability with engineering skills & software
Recognizes negotiating situations & leverages appropriate personnel as needed
Supports AEs with creation of proposals & correspondence through use of available technology
Ensures AEs have fundamental competency with measuring equipment
Reliability Improvement & Solutions
Ensures AEs establish a consistent program approach to equipment issues at customer site
Guides AEs in skill building on the root cause analysis process
Coaches AEs in utilizing the failure mode identification process to solve problems & justify recommended improvements
Ensures that AEs have the capability required to deliver well constructed solutions to address equipment issues
Project Management
Applies basic understanding of financial drivers for project work
Develops SMART goals for individuals, projects, & accounts
Manages team effectively toward meeting project goals & objectives
Product/Industry
Ensures AEs have understanding of product & service portfolio for their assigned areas
Instructs AEs and customers on operating principles along with language of industry & equipment
Displays knowledge & coaches AEs on design requirements/applications & competitive marketplace
Program Continuous Improvement
Drives the use of quality management procedures and continuous improvement of tools/processes
Enforces all legal requirements (SOX, Export Compliance, Contract T&C Conditions, FCPA, etc)
Fosters an environment for continual self development
Requirements:
BS in Engineering or other technical degree
Working knowledge in manufacturing processes, engineering concepts, rotating equipment, and financial management
Demonstrated leadership capability to organize and lead teams
Strong PC Knowledge (Microsoft Suite; Flowstar.net)
Skills needed: Communication, Problem-Solving, Interpersonal, Customer Service, Conflict Management, Time Management, & Project Management
Can meet both FLS & customer safety, health, & physical requirements, including drug screen and background check
Travel up to 30%
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge and Experience with Centrifugal Pumps and/or Mechanical Seals preferred
Experience with LifeCycle Advantage program and technical leadership preferred
