Project Engineer

Baton Rouge Area

Serve as the main project engineering resource for a chemical plant in the Baton Rouge area. Manage the CAPEX budget that ranges from $5 to $15 million per year. This site makes products that go into a wide variety of markets, so it tends to be stable through all business cycles. This role will be replacing an Engineer who is retiring.

• Develop project scopes in conjunction with operations and maintenance
• Develop process improvement projects across the site
• Initiate cost estimates and manage costs
• Manage Engineering Firms
• Coordinate design, engineering, construction
• Own and manage the project stage gate process
• Install projects, train operations personnel
• Develop and manage a 5-year site improvement plan
