*This position is eligible for a $1,000 Signing Bonus! You must be active in the role, and it will be paid after 90 days of employment.* (for externals only)

Position Summary:

The Assistant General Manager assists the General Manager in managing all on-site operations, achieving financial and operational goals, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining compliance with relevant laws.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and team to maximize revenue and control costs, ensuring financial data accuracy.
  • Manage collections, oversee revenue posting, and billing processes.
  • Handle resident service requests, coordinate with maintenance, and prioritize resident satisfaction.
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring operational standards and procedures.
  • Support Resident Life events and show/lease apartments as needed.
  • Inspect units and property to maintain standards.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and work with legal counsel on evictions when necessary.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions.
  • Prepare reports and assist in training and developing staff.
  • Coordinate move-ins and ensure safety standards are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience in property management.
  • State leasing license or ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computer skills, including social media.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-focused personality.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate staff.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant software.
  • Confident and persistent.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience in student housing.

Work Schedule: Generally 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm, Monday-Friday, with required extended hours or weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements: Office environment with occasional outdoor work, ability to remain stationary, operate office equipment, communicate effectively, and lift up to 30 pounds. Close visual acuity required. Travel may be necessary.
