Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of clients of various sizes and scopes, acting as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  2. Lead teams of tax professionals and assistants working on client projects.
  3. Understand and analyze U.S. GAAP rules affecting taxpayers.
  4. Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing, collections, and budgeting.
  5. Advise clients and deliver high-quality tax services and advice.
  6. Assess tax impacts, develop tax arguments, and suggest plans to clients.

Additional Responsibilities for Senior Manager:

  1. Participate in market and business activities outside the firm while providing team leadership.
  2. Act as a coach and mentor to other tax professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of recent corporate tax experience supporting alternative investments, with prior experience as a tax manager in a public accounting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. CPA, JD/LLM, or EA credentials are required or must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Proficiency in taxation of corporations, partnerships, and flow-through entities.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex financial information.

Additional Qualifications for Senior Manager:

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience as a tax senior manager supporting alternative investments.
  • Experience reviewing 1120 RIC, 1065 tax returns, including Schedule K-1, and managing multiple client engagements.
