Role Summary

As a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Honeywell, you will lead a team of Process Engineers responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations and driving operational excellence. Your duties include developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes, process improvements, and ensuring safety compliance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, design, and maintenance to ensure efficient, cost-effective production. You will report directly to the Geismar Plant Manager and work onsite at our Geismar, Louisiana location.

Your impact will be in enhancing manufacturing process efficiency and quality, fostering continuous improvement, and reducing costs. You will also be instrumental in developing employees and driving organizational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and develop a team of Process Engineers
  • Lead process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality
  • Provide technical support to resolve manufacturing issues
  • Identify and implement cost-saving solutions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth operations
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards

U.S. Citizen Requirements

Due to U.S. export control laws, candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or have asylum/refugee status.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in manufacturing or process engineering
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Strong process engineering and automation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Experience managing or guiding teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with Process Safety Management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
  • Advanced engineering degrees
  • Passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong safety and quality focus
  • Certifications and project management experience
