The position leads a team in the ongoing development of the Value Analysis Program, providing strategic value to Intermountain Healthcare. Responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with leadership to develop communication systems for the VAT program.
  2. Working with key stakeholders and VAT co-chairs to establish strategic goals and KPIs aimed at delivering savings, efficiencies, and quality outcomes.
  3. Managing stakeholder relationships and coordinating complex projects within the VAT for optimal results.
  4. Planning and reporting on the VAT program's progress annually.

This role may consider candidates outside Utah, but currently does not hire remote workers in CA, CT, HI, IL, NY, RI, VT, and WA. Business travel within the service area and across the U.S. is required.

Scope:

  • Manage and train a team of professionals leading initiatives.
  • Oversee all VAT progress and interactions with business service lines.
  • Supervise VAT Coordinators and Analysts.
  • Collaborate with Category Management Directors and Managers.
  • Engage stakeholders across various parts of Intermountain Healthcare, including hospitals, Home Care, Medical Group, Life Flight, and Select Health.

Job Essentials:

  1. Coordinate efforts between stakeholders and Supply Chain teams, developing multi-year business plans aligned with VAT initiatives.
  2. Implement plans for developing the Value Analysis Program and drive continuous improvement.
  3. Provide industry insights and ensure sourcing and logistics strategies align with stakeholder objectives.
  4. Lead stakeholder communication, project planning, and reporting efforts for VAT initiatives.
  5. Ensure compliance with policies, manage product standard deviations, and oversee new product introductions and innovations.
  6. Manage and develop the VAT team, conducting performance reviews and fostering career growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Seven years of strategic and operational experience in supply chain sourcing or supplier management.
  • Five years of experience in strategic sourcing and/or category management.
  • Proficiency with standard office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in business or supply chain management.
  • Five years of leadership in Value Analysis Program, strategic sourcing, or category management within healthcare.

Physical Requirements:

  • Verbal communication, hearing, and understanding spoken information.
  • Use of computers, telephones, and office equipment.
  • Visual acuity for reading monitors and documents.
  • Sustained sitting or standing for extended periods.

Eligible for the Annual Pay for Performance Plan, with awards based on performance against approved goals.

Location: Supply Chain Center, Midvale, Utah

Work Hours: 40 hours/week, with an hourly rate of $57.75 - $89.14 depending on experience.
