The tasks I need assistance with include cleaning the bathroom, washing dishes, and keeping general rooms in order. The kitchen also requires attention, particularly with oven cleaning and fridge cleaning. Additionally, window washing is an important task that ensures our home remains bright and welcoming.
The position offers $20 - $30 per hour (Depend on the weekly worktime an on live in option yes or no where i came from it is usual but I think here it is not.) and I am keen on finding someone who takes pride in their work and pays attention to detail. Agreement example to be negotiated:
1. Job Description
The Employee agrees to work as a live-in housekeeper, performing tasks including but not limited to:
General cleaning and tidying of the home
Laundry and ironing
Cooking or meal preparation
errands
child chare if at home
The Employee will reside at the Employer's home located (Just an option if it helps you. You can also live somewhere else.)
2. Work Hours & Days Off
Standard work hours: e.g., Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Needs to be negotiated other times or days are possible. Split to two maids possible if no life in option choose)
Two days off per week: e.g., Saturday and Sunday
if both sides agree it is possible to change the days temporary.
Breaks: one-hour lunch break, short morning 15 min afternoon breaks 15 min
Lunch break is not paid worktime.
The two 15 min breaks are paid worktime according US law.
Any additional hours must be agreed in advance and compensated as overtime.
Worktime on Saturday is paid with an factor of 1.5 and Sunday is paid with an factor of 2 each hour.
Overtime will be compensated at 1.5x hourly rate or with equivalent time off.
3. Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $ 600 per week paid at Monday in advance via direct deposit. (needs be be negotiated)
Overtime will be paid on the first of the next month via direct deposit.
Live-in Benefits: The Employee will be provided with: (Just if option is wanted from you)
Private room and bathroom
ingrediency for Meals and a kitchen to cook
Utilities and internet access
4. Employment Status & Taxes
The Employee is considered a household employee under U.S. law.
The Employer is responsible for:
Withholding and paying Social Security, Medicare, and unemployment taxes
Providing a W-2 form annually
5. Duration & Termination
This contract begins on ?? and is ongoing unless terminated.
Either party may terminate this agreement with 14 days' written notice.
Grounds for immediate termination: theft, gross misconduct, repeated negligence, disclose or discuss the Employer's private matters, finances, or household affairs outside of work, take pictures, movies or audio records at my premises without written permission.
6. Supplies & Equipment
The Employer will provide necessary cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety instructions.
7. Confidentiality
The Employee agrees not to disclose or discuss the Employer's private matters, finances, or household affairs outside of work.
8. Code of Conduct
No smoking, drinking, or drug use on the premises
Respectful and professional behavior required at all times
Use of personal devices during working hours should be minimal
Private devices with cameras are not allowed on the premises
9. Keys & Access
The Employee will be provided with keys/access codes.
All keys must be returned upon termination of employment.
10. PTO and sick leave
The Employee have 10 days PTO a year.
Sick leave with Doctor's note or Medical certificate are additional PTO days.
11. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States.
