Lamar's Corporate office is now hiring an Insurance Compliance Analyst to support the Insurance Risk & Compliance Manager's overall risk strategy for various insurance policies and contractor qualifications.

What we are looking for in YOU:

• Attention to detail is essential for consistent accuracy in handling technical details in a document.
• Must be able to gather data and draw valid conclusions from cause-and-effect relationships. This is useful in getting to the true fact of a case.
• Interpersonal skills to effectively build and manage internal and external relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other analysis programs.
• Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program.
• Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data.

Education and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or similar required.

• In lieu of a degree:

  • 2 years of experience in Risk Management or Safety
  • or 4 years of experience in a related field such as Construction Management or Operations Management
  • or another equivalent combination of education and experience

• General insurance experience in relation to the overall business, including the sources of risk and potential options for mitigation, including the ability to perform financial analysis, preferred.

• 2+ years working with remote profit center managers to support corporate goals preferred.

• Knowledge of safety, insurance, workers' compensation, and claims management preferred.

A day in the life:

• Responsible for the independent contractor agreement and the certificate of insurance process, ensuring subcontractor compliance in alignment with company standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for field offices, insurance carriers, brokers, legal, and contractors to ensure a smooth qualification/requalification process.
• Provide timely and accurate responses to data requests and inquiries regarding insurance and contractor qualification.
• Stay abreast of insurance industry standards, policies, changes, and news.
• Analyze data to better understand potential risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions.
• Problem solve and resolve all discrepancies that arise as a result of risk analyses.
• Create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results.
• Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• The primary work environment is an office
• The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
• Nights spent traveling, away from home, is less than 10%.
