Position Description:

The position of Packaging Technician will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient packaging of cannabis products for our 10 Dispensary Partners throughout the state of Louisiana. Candidates should have a strong track record in packaging task such as weighing, measuring, and labeling products according to established procedures.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Adhere to the daily packaging schedules to ensure attainment of quality and efficiency goals.
• Verify that all applicable working areas, tools, packaging and labeling equipment and components are maintained in good working order prior to the start of each shift or batch.
• Ensure that all packaging, labeling, and data reporting activities are performed with attention to strict Ilera Holistic Healthcare quality, data precision, and safety standards, regulatory compliance, and all other applicable legal and food safety requirements.
• Safely operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment including manual, semi-automatic, and automatic liquid filling machines, capping machines, label applicators, and scales according to strict standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain personal training documentation.
• Cross-train other packaging line operators.
• Transport product to secure inventory areas.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of Ilera Holistic Healthcare process SOPs and work instructions.
• Ensure proper communication of tasks through shift changes.
• Assist in management of inventory for packaging and labeling components, finished products, and other items by maintaining accurate records.
• Adhere to safe chemical handling and disposal procedures as defined by SOPs and material safety data sheets (MSDS).
• Ensure the safety of themselves and others by maintaining a safe and orderly environment by sweeping, mopping, and cleaning as needed. Report any unsafe or hazardous work conditions to the Packaging Supervisor.
• Work all shifts as needed to complete critical tasks.
• Uphold Ilera Holistic Healthcare quality and teamwork objectives in all job aspects.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-motivated to learn and improve.
• Strong mathematical skills with ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide various units of measure.
• Proficient in computer programs including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications, and e-mail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, constantly changing, team environment.
• Effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
• Capable of sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, squatting and/or walking for extended periods.
• Ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply information obtained from manuals, data sheets, or other documents.
• Applicant must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be and remain compliant with all company regulations.

Position Shift: Monday - Friday 8AM-4:30PM

Background Check Requirement:

As a condition of employment, a complete background investigation will be conducted based on the laws of Louisiana and the Louisiana Department of Health rules for therapeutic marijuana employment. This will include a criminal background check conducted by a third-party as well as any additional background check which the state may request at their discretion.
