Job Title: Senior Buyer

Department: Supply Chain / Procurement

Job Summary:

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to manage the sourcing and purchasing of materials, goods, and services. This role plays a key part in vendor relations, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and overall supply chain strategy. The ideal candidate will bring strong procurement expertise, market insight, and cross-functional collaboration skills to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process purchase orders for assigned categories of materials, goods, or services.

  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on pricing, quality, delivery timelines, and reliability.

  • Lead contract negotiations and maintain commercial agreements that support long-term savings.

  • Analyze market trends and supplier dynamics to inform strategic sourcing decisions.

  • Conduct supplier risk assessments and implement strategies to ensure continuity of supply.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and internal quality policies.

  • Participate in supplier visits, trade shows, and relevant industry events as needed.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the launch and development of new products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement or supply chain roles.

  • Proven ability in contract negotiation, vendor management, and cost control.

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP B1 a plus, but not required).

  • Strong analytical, budgeting, and time management capabilities.

  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
