Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary field-based lead for education, assistance, and appropriate issue resolution with office staff regarding reimbursement for Company products.
- Invest appropriate time necessary with customers to assess their education needs and facilitate collaboration.
- Educate the health care provider's office staff on published payer approval processes, identify access barriers, and highlight support available to increase access to Company products.
- Educate the office staff and field peers on patient support program and its benefits.
- Serve as liaison to patient support program case managers to assist with patient site of care transitions and active reimbursement-related access issues.
- Monitor, analyze, and triage situations which may adversely impact patient access to therapy.
- Serve as subject matter expert for internal team members and external office staff regarding treatment guidelines, policy changes, formulary status and the impact of healthcare reform on coverage.
- Educate peers about various elements of Market Access, including reimbursement, medical coverage policies and medical benefit design.
- Execute managed market initiatives to a high level of achievement.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and develop/execute the strategy/tactics that ensure optimal product access.
- Understand how payer policy decisions are made.
- Utilize CRM system to maintain a data repository of all key account profiles keeping the life cycle of account management updated.
- Communicate effectively with the commercial team on relevant market trends.
- Operate in full compliance with company policies, local codes of conduct and ethics, corporate governance and applicable law.
- Implement business in accordance with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards, including timely and successful completion of all required training.
Experience & Knowledge:
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience and proven success in biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience of successful track record focused on provider reimbursement-related matters.
- Relevant Oncology and Rare Disease/Orphan Drug experience with buy and bill product(s).
- Proven credibility in gaining access to key decision makers and influencers.
- Field sales management experience preferred.
- Successful experience in product launches and execution of launch strategies/tactical plans.
- Strong financial background and analytical skills.
- Relevant experience in revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, formulary, prior authorization, coding, and appeals processes of which three years are in specialty disease state(s).
- Excellent technical knowledge and expertise in payer policy (Medicaid, Medicare, Private Payer), including all elements of reimbursement (coding, coverage and payment).
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree – BA/BS required
- Home office-based with average of 20% travel
- Candidates must live in close proximity to a major airport
- Valid US Driver's License
- Must be able to fly and/or drive to see target customers
- Additional travel to meetings/trainings/programs, as necessary
Annual salary range: $155,000 - $202,000
This position is eligible for standard Company benefits, including medical, dental, vision, time off and 401k, as well as participating in Immunocore's annual incentive plans. Incentive plans are contingent on achievement of personal and company performance. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
