Overview:

The Shop Helper will be responsible for working in the manufacturing shop assisting in our daily fabrication processes. This full-time position offers long-term growth potential within the company.

Responsibilities:

•Some knowledge of, or ability to familiarize self with, the shop and equipment.

•Ability to follow oral and written instructions regarding the daily functions of the shop, safety rules and regulations.

•General mathematical skills for counting, etc.

•General cleaning duties around the shop

•Basic skills in the use of hand and power tools and equipment.

•Ability to develop more specialized skills in such areas as welding, isometric readings, machine operation.

•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.

•Comply with all Company Core Safety Rules, policies and procedures.

•Report any unsafe conditions wherever they exist to the safety department, their supervisor, or the management of Trade Construction immediately.

•Report all incidents/accidents/injuries involving the health and wellbeing of any employee to management immediately.

Qualifications:

•High School diploma or equivalent

•Must be able to stand for 10 hours, and squat and bend at the waist as needed throughout the day

• Have the ability to lift at least 50lbs.
• Professional ability to work well with management
• Excellent communication and teaming abilities
• Attention to detail
