We're seeking an experienced Patient Financial Services Director to provide leadership at a prominent large acute care hospital in the heart of Louisiana. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact while embracing Louisiana's unique culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for revenue cycle operations across the multi-campus health system as the Executive Director of Revenue Cycle and Patient Financial Services
- Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and System Vice President of Financial Services
- Develop and implement financial improvement initiatives to enhance revenue capture, cash flow, and patient satisfaction
- Manage patient financial services budget, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency as the Revenue Cycle Director
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including CMS, private payers, and financial reporting standards
- Foster collaboration between financial services and clinical departments to enhance patient experience
- As the Executive Director Patient Financial Services, implement innovative financial technologies and methodologies to improve service delivery
- Lead and develop a team of financial professionals with focus on staff retention and growth
- Establish key performance indicators to monitor and improve revenue cycle operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare revenue cycle management
- Large hospital acute care experience (400+ beds) highly preferred for the Patient Financial Services Executive
- Demonstrated expertise in healthcare budget preparation, financial management, and strategic planning
- EPIC EMR experience required with thorough understanding of healthcare billing systems
- Strong experience in building and developing physician relationships
- Track record of implementing successful revenue improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to build effective cross-departmental relationships
