FMM is seeking a motivated professional to fulfill our Operations Manager position. FMM is a maintenance and construction company located in Denham Springs, LA servicing both residential and commercial clients nationwide. Job Summary The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations activities for our construction department. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Based in our corporate office located in Denham Springs, LA, the Operations Manager will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and our administrative team to streamline operations, mitigate risks, and maintain client satisfaction across multiple states.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Included but not limited to)
  • Manage and monitor projects nationwide, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards for multi-family, student housing, and multi-tenant commercial properties.
  • Supervise project managers, site supervisors, and support staff, fostering collaboration and accountability across geographically dispersed teams
  • Allocate labor, materials, and equipment efficiently to optimize project performance and minimize waste.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Ensure internal processes are followed to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance project delivery.
  • Monitor project financials, track expenses, and implement cost saving measures while maintaining.
  • Prepare and present information at weekly job status report meeting.
  • Participate and provide supporting information for monthly financial meetings .
  • Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations including building codes, OSHA standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
  • Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues promptly to keep projects on track.

Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration or related field. Experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction operations management
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skill to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software(CMIC, BuilderTrend, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel as needed to project sites across the United States
  • Problem solving and decision making under pressure

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on efficiency
  • Adaptability to handle dynamic project demands and timelines

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel nationwide approximately 30% of the time
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
  • Ability to pass a fit for duty test
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or working on a computer
