As SASSO's Senior Website Developer, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of WordPress, Shopify, and E-Commerce websites, ensuring high performance and SEO optimization. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, CMS expertise, and a keen eye for design and user experience.

You'll collaborate with clients and internal teams to create functional, visually compelling websites that meet business goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive in applying the latest web technologies.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • 6+ years of web development experience, specializing in WordPress, Shopify, and E-Commerce.
    • Marketing agency experience.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (jQuery), and Liquid (Shopify's templating language).
    • Familiarity with React, Vue.js, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Google, and SEO tools.

    • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, teams, and vendors.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and Build: Create efficient and scalable websites from content architecture, design, build, and launch. Ability to create or build from web layouts Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or XD and building HTML/CMS websites. Mature proficiencies in writing website code with programming languages such as HTML, C++ and Java. Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites for E-Commerce and content-based businesses. Design and enhance website UI/UX with strong attention to aesthetics and branding.
  • E-commerce: Implement and manage Shopify themes, plugins, and custom functionalities. Develop ongoing improvements and processes to maximize performance and sales through better builds and enhancements (i.e. upsell, email reminders, etc.). Develop custom Shopify Liquid templates and WordPress themes as needed. Continue to stay proficient in online E-Commerce integration through 3rd party applications such as Shopify or others.
  • SEO: Optimize websites for performance, speed, SEO, and conversion rates. Stay up to date with web development trends, SEO best practices, and E-Commerce innovations.
  • CMS Growth: Develop with and customize open source and licensed CMS applications such as Craft, WordPress, Webflow, and others as needed.
  • Fix Problems: Solve technical issues and bugs promptly as well as client challenges with solutions that meet the client's brand and concerns effectively.
  • Ensure Quality: Test and optimize code for reliability and function across all sites and browsers pre-and post-launch. Ensure code follows standards and is error-free.
  • Monthly Management and Analytics: Ensure all site hosting (domains and storage) is maintained regularly and websites are up to date monthly with latest versions for all functionalities. Ensure ongoing review of site on all sites for performance and identify opportunities for upgrades and scheduled changes.
  • Prioritize Security: Protect our websites from potential cyber threats and build processes to implement.
  • Coordinate Projects: Work with teams to meet project goals and all touchpoints in the process. Help team members grow and collaborate with the team to improve processes, content, and design. Develop project estimating of scope for sales team when needed.
  • Communicate and Collaborate Effectively: Keep everyone informed and aligned and troubleshoot client challenges.
  • Improve Performance and Accessibility: Make websites faster, more responsive, and searchable through ongoing SEO efforts. Manage accessibility features, processes, and upgrades on all sites when necessary.
  • Automate Processes: Set up systems to streamline development from client kick-off, content, sitemap, wireframe, design to implementation and launch.
  • Blog and Email Management: Ensure blog vendors and process are properly managed and optimized for best performance. Support and streamline efforts on email marketing.
  • Lead and Mentor: Guide and support junior developers (when applicable).
  • Keep Learning: Stay updated on new tools and techniques on areas of growth regarding technology.
  • Engage with Clients: Effectively communicate with clients, lead meetings, and translate client requirements into clear next steps and actionable tasks for the internal team to ensure project success and alignment.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with vendors on all web projects related to Blogs, SEO, Link Building, etc.
