Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Capital Projects Project Manager to oversee and manage up to six major capital projects at multiple locations, valued between $500K - $5M, at our chemical manufacturing plants located across the U.S. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the chemical manufacturing industry and a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution:
2. Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, and timelines.
3. Lead project kickoff meetings to ensure all stakeholders understand project objectives and roles.
4. Oversee the execution of project plans, ensuring adherence to schedules and milestones.
5. Budget Management:
6. Prepare detailed project budgets, including cost estimates, resource allocation, and contingency planning.
7. Monitor and control project expenditures, ensuring projects stay within budget.
8. Working with Project Controls Engineer, conduct financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
9. Team Coordination:
10. Assemble and lead cross-functional project teams, including engineering, operations, maintenance, procurement, safety, design, and construction contractors.
11. Facilitate regular team meetings to track progress, address issues, and ensure alignment.
12. Foster a collaborative team environment to drive project success.
13. Risk Management:
14. Identify potential project risks, including technical, financial, and operational risks.
15. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
16. Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary.
17. Quality Assurance:
18. Establish quality control processes and standards for each project.
19. Leverage MIQA and Inspections team to conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols.
20. Address any quality issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
21. Stakeholder Communication:
22. Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external contractors.
23. Provide regular project updates at Monthly Steering Team Meeting, including progress reports, risk assessments, and financial status.
24. Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues.
25. Performance Monitoring:
26. Conduct post-project critiques to identify areas for improvement.
27. Implement corrective actions to address any deviations from project plans.
28. Continuous Improvement:
29. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
30. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in project management methodologies.
31. Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the project team.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
2. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the chemical manufacturing industry, with a focus on capital projects.
3. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Work Environment:

1. This is a remote work position. The projects that will be assigned to the role are based in a chemical manufacturing plant, which may involve exposure to hazardous materials and the need to wear protective gear.
2. The position will require travel to project sites and vendor locations. 50% travel is expected in this position.
