WHAT WE NEED:

Sr. Process Engineer

The Sr. Process Engineer is responsible for designing, optimizing, implementing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality within an organization. This role involves conducting in depth analysis, designing process improvements, implementing changes, and providing technical support to the production team. The Sr. Process Engineer will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including other engineers, engineering coordinators, engineering specialists, designers, and project managers, to deliver innovative solutions and meet project objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead process engineering design and analysis for industrial projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and review P&IDs, PFDs, mass & energy balances, and process flow diagrams.
  • Conduct process simulations, heat & material balances, and hydraulic calculations.
  • Specify and size process equipment such as heat exchangers, pumps, reactors, and separators.
  • Perform technical evaluations of equipment and instrumentation selections.
  • Define project goals, scopes, allocate resources, and set timelines to ensure successful implementation of process enhancements, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and civil engineers, to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Support clients with troubleshooting, plant modifications, and operational improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the organization.
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and field support activities as needed.
WHO WE NEED:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical or process engineering or a related field. A Professional Engineer (PE) license in Engineering is preferred.
  • Ten plus (10+) years of experience in process engineering, preferably in a project-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of process design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar software.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NFPA, OSHA, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in chemical/process engineering.
