The New Resident Coordinator is responsible for providing a successful, warm welcome to ease a resident's move-in and transition to their new Sunrise home at the communities to which they are assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities :

Essential Duties: Resident Move-In Process

• Manages the move-in process as outlined in the Sunrise Move-In Guide
• Meets with the resident and/or family on the day of the move-in, fee is placed and reviews the instructions and timeline for the New Resident Portal, ensuring the family/resident understands their role
• Coordinates the Resident Assessment with the Resident Care Director and Assisted Living Coordinator or Reminiscence Coordinator
• Checks in regularly with the resident/family to ensure all Sunrise and required state forms are completed on or before the move-in date by the resident and/or family
• Ensures the completion of the Resident Profile
• Monitors completion of Physician orders
• Schedules the Resident Agreement Signing
• On the Move-In day, the New Resident Coordiator is responsible for: preparing the handbill, ensuring all required forms are complete on the New Resident Portal, revewing the Welcome Packet with the resident and family member(s), orienting the resident and family, explaining the telephone and emergency procedure systems and other services such as hair care/salon, transportation, activities, etc., and arranging lunch or dinner for the resident and family member(s) on the Move-In day
• Maintain a thorough working proficiency and keep professional contact and account records current on the customer relationship management system
• Organize Sunrise portfolio participation in community events, both offsite and onsite, including coordinating all marketing efforts (e.g. promotion of event, collateral, signage, etc.)
• Coordinates joint marketing efforts with appropriate representatives of Sunrise Senior Living Communities to identify and meet with both prospective and existing customers, as appropriate
• Communicates strategies, tactics, and results of their efforts with the Sunrise communities in their portfolio

Essential Duties: Communication

• Maintains open and ongoing dialogue with the resident and/or family from time to time the Move-In Fee is placed through 30 days post move-in to ensure a smooth transition for the resident and to identify resident/family needs
• Initiates communication with resident's physician and/or family to ensure completion and delivery of the Physician's Statement and any state-specific forms
• Assists the resident and family members in making the emotional connection to the new community through introductions to residents and team members and engaging activities

• Maintains and protects the confidentiality of resident information at all times

• As applicable for new communities, facilitates the Sunrise Founders Club ensuring all Founders Club benefits are received by the resident and/or family

Essential Duties: Records and Administrative

• Prepare the resident's Administrative file (paper copies from the New Resident Portal) according to Sunrise specific regulatory compliance

Essential Duties: Risk Management and General Safety

• Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with OSHA requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations
• Practice safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout Tagout procedures

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED Required; Associate and/or College Degree preferred
• One (1) year experience in an administrative support role
• Previous customer service experience; demonstration of customer services skill set
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication; competent in organizational time management skills, attention to detail and accurate record keeping skills
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
• Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) and Sunrise applications (e.g. New Resident Portal, CRM and Sunrise Care Connect) with the ability to learn new applications
• As applicable, all Sunrise team members who drive a Sunrise vehicle must review and sign the Driver job description and understand the key essential duties for safety and regulatory compliance
