Wilson Heir Project Paralegal & Coordinator, Baton Rouge
This Paralegal and Coordinator position will work in the community of North Baton Rouge for the Heir Property Project. This position will help increase our capacity, strengthen our three intentional partnerships, and coordinate our community-based legal clinics/presentations. This is a one-year grant under the Wilson Foundation.
Qualities for this position include lived experience and a connection to North Baton Rouge, a strong commitment to social justice, a background working with low-income community members, and experience with successions, wills, and community engagement.
This position is classified under Staff & Admin. I (SLLS 2024 Salary Scale). It is full-time and has a salary range of $32,625 – $49,625, depending on experience, e.g., 2-3 years is $34,325, and 15 years is $45,375, which is the max starting salary.
Two to three years of experience with a paralegal certificate or other relevant experience is preferred. Additional compensation for bilingualism, commissioned notary, a paralegal certificate, and a college degree (Associate and Bachelor).
