Job Title:Shop MachinistLocation:GonzalesPay Range: $26.56/$38.562nd shift 3:30pm to 12am Monday-FridayWhat's the Job?You will be responsible for manufacturing proprietary machined valve components used in a variety of industries, such O&G, petro-chem, power and even aviation/aerospaceWith your CNC programming/machining skills, you will be producing both internal and external new valve parts to very close tolerances from a variety of material types (carbon steel, 300/400 series SS, high-nickel alloys, etc.) using CNC lathes and CNC millsIn addition to machining new valve parts, you will also be an integral contributor to our professional service team, which is responsible for making repairs to existing valves and valve componentsThis role is 2nd Shift- Monday- Friday 3:30 PM- 12:00 AMBe responsible for personal safety and for the safety of othersMust maintain excellent housekeeping standardsSet-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Fisher parts to OEM print dimensionsDevelop and edit CNC programs using G-code and other programming languagesVerify program accuracy and troubleshoot any programming issuesCross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to engine lathes, manual drills, horizontal bandsaws, CNC lathes, VTLs, HBMs, and CNC millsMust understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniquesInterpret geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) per part drawingsPotential for field assignments using in-line machineYou build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations, optimally communicate in various settings, and stay productive to align with company goalsWhat's Needed?QualificationsAdherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulationsProficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawingsFamiliarity with a variety of CNC machines and controlsAbility to use precision measuring instrumentsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and customer relations skills are a mustHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education is a plus.Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:• Mechanical related Associate's degree or 5+ years of experience with machining and fabricating.• Proven understanding of CAD/CAM (MasterCam) & SolidWorks' modeling is preferred• Welding knowledge preferred.• Experience in the process control industry is a plus.• Knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process related problems is strongly preferred.What's in it for me?Max of 5Team environmentTemp to perm positionWork week Monday-FridayExcellent benefitsIf this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
