Overview:
Job Summary:
Accounting Analyst will perform functions related to the daily processing of accounting data, accounts payable processing, Company cash management, reconciliation of bank deposit accounts, maintenance of asset schedules, document management, preparation of various accounting and financial reports, and related projects as required.
Education and Experience:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting and a minimum of two years of experience in an accounting, accounts payable and data processing function, or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
Essential Functions:
Collects, reviews and analyzes financial data
Ensures financial information has been recorded accurately
Maintains automated and manual systems related to financial data
Performs Accounts Payable processing
Initiates requests and collects data and reports for month-end processing
Prepares monthly journal entries
Maintains fixed asset and leasehold improvement schedules
Reconciles branch bank deposit accounts monthly
Assists with daily treasury management and banking transactions
Prepares, processes and reports monthly credit insurance transactions
Collects, reviews and processes related to tax reporting
Provides other administrative support to the department as needed
Other Skills & Abilities:
Strong analytical skills necessary to successfully perform the functions above
Strong MS Excel and MS Access skills. Experience with MS Dynamics General Ledger a plus
Strong attention to detail is a must
Ability to effectively extract and analyze information from multiple databases and prepared reports
Ability to organize own work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines
Ability to complete all assigned duties and special projects with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures in Lending and Finance
Ability and desire to work with others in a positive and constructive manner
Ability to determine when a situation can be handled independently or needs to be escalated.
Desire to master assigned tasks and take on additional responsibility in a high-growth Company
